Newell Leading Edge Protection Rail
Secure the leading edge of your deck surface with the Newell Leading Edge Protection Rail. The Ellis LER-1 is designed to speed up the setup and teardown process by enabling the ability to group sections of rail together as one. Simply fold the rails down and stack them for transport to the next job.
Also available in a non-folding fixed option (LER-1F).
Specifications
Reduce wasted lumber and save on labor costs with The Newell Leading Edge Protection Rail by Ellis. The Ellis LER-1 is designed to be grouped into sections of railing that can be folded and stacked for easy operation and transport. Every Ellis LER-1 is made of high carbon steel and has a baked-on powder coated finish to last.
Assemble LER-1 no more than 8' apart in 16' or 24' sections. Leave 12" of overhang on each side. Use bolts or screws to attached 2x4 rails to LER-1 pockets to secure them for many uses. Once deck it poured fold and move LER-1 sections to next floor.
** LER-1 and LER-1F must be fastened to surface so that the top rail will withstand 200 lbs force applied to top rail. 1/4" diameter lag screws were used in product performance testing.
